1) 天下第一关. The entrance ticket includes entry into several other attractions within the area. A charming area of hutongs protected by fortified walls.
As the name suggests, "tian xia di yi guan" is the first ever pass of the great wall. If i am not wrong, its also the pass where one of the generals opened the gates to the Manchus, thus leading to the establishment of the Qing Dynasty.

Boy's room was a lot bigger and much more well-furnished than the girls, a case of gender biasness.
2) Lao Long Tou. So aptly named because its shaped like a dragon's head. This section of the great wall ends (or starts) off at the sea. We didnt have enough time for this, and could only manage a view from the distance.
3) The Promenade. End off the day by taking a stroll along the promenade which stretches for a distance.

I was left amused by the groups of people lighting the "Kong Ming Deng" everywhere across the beach. Its sort of like a chinese tradition where the people believe that by lighting up the lattern and sending it up into the sky, your wishes would be taken up to the heavens where they will be answered. If only it was really that easy huh.
