High Tea

Where else but at a tea house. Lao She Tea House, traditional local teahouse with a modern zest. A hefty price to pay for this commercialized tourist trap! 45RMB per cup of tea (and this is the cheapest on the list).

Lao She

A place also for the culturally inclined group. Ah, music with tea, the simple pleasures of life. To make your money's worth, work your timing round the performance timing that is on every night at the dining hall.

The Orchestra
I love it that Lao She has retained much of the original flavour of a typical "Cha Guan". Made it that much more believable.

Who would have thought of that, chicken fried with oolong tea leaves, the saltiness of the chicken against the bitter crisp taste of the tea leaves. Ingenious. Love it.

My 45RMB Tea
Performance for the evening. Shadow Play.
Totally unrelated, but i adore my camera :) I think i should name it.

Hmm... Must try the expensive tea. How come I didn't get to see and do many of the things mentioned. Your dad was luckier. Hope to 'yum cha' the next time round.
