Antiques Market

Remember how i like all things old? So imagine my excitement when i finally got to visit the Pan Jia Yuan Market aka the antiques market. It was a little haven for me when i was thrown into the mountain of treasures waiting to be uncovered. For a place as huge as Pan Jia Yuan, I recommend fellow antique fanatics to set aside at least 3 hours on a weekend to do your shopping! Trust me, you wouldn't want to be rushed into making an impulsive buy when its relics we are talking about.

A good eye for details is needed when determining whether what you are looking at is really a piece from the qing dynasty. I was almost wheedled into paying a small sum for a pendant supposedly from the ancient of times!

Well not everything at pan jia yuan is an antique. A large variety of items spanning from across the centuries can be found at pan jia yuan. You have modern day art pieces, accessories, household wares from the 1960s, vintage cameras all mixed together in one place! And you know what i like best about pan jia yuan? its an open market concept with the vendors displaying their goods on the floor, lots of air, lots of space to roam about! Oh and did i mention, i bought my very first vintage camera when i was over at the market with jas! Will post a picture of it if i can!
