The Place

Just a 5 mins walk away from silk street, The Place, is placed on opposite poles from the more bazaar-like silk street. A place fitting only for 'atas' shopaholics! The Place has proven itself worthy of being named so. It is a mega mall carrying labels like zara, guess, fornarina, miss sixty and my all time favourite starbucks! Voted as the top shopping destination in beijing, The Place is a must-go even if it just means having to go there for window shopping only.

What is so striking about this mall is the huge LCD screen hanging over the public area outside. It changes theme from time to time, one moment dolphins are playing overhead, and the next, comets are shooting across the screen. Like woah, where am i??
