It was a real pity that Janice and Dan could only hang around for 3 days. There is actually sooo much to see here!! They had to be picky in their sight visitation and they chose to go to the forbidden city on their second day. They managed well on their own, hiring a personal guide at the entrance for a sum of RMB 140. I am thinking maybe i should go be a guide too or sth! Its such easy money and its fun!

What is a trip to Beijing without tasting the best peking duck in town! And for that, I had to bring them to the best peking duck restaurant - Da Dong. It is so popular that you need to make reservations at least a day before. And its definitely worth the wait and effort! Of all the ducks that i have eaten so far, Da dong still does it the best! More on Da dong in future posts (went there a second time when lak yi was here).

Janice and Dan love it here so much that they promised to be back next year during my hols! With a better weather and more time, they would probably be inviting their whole clan along as well! Hopefully by then, I would be truly assimilated into the china culture and would be a much better host!
