Before we officially started lessons, the school arranged for a formal induction session to receive us into the TCM family. It was harsh. The school dropped many bombshells on us that day. They are making it almost impossible to graduate with a degree at the end of 2 years :( not going to dwell on it anymore. And they are making it difficult for me to enjoy my next 2 years here! There goes my dreams of traveling around China during the school term. We would get expelled if we miss lessons for consecutive 2 weeks. In a year, we cannot be absent for a cumulative period of 2 months. I think its just a China thing. Back in singapore, no one cares if you are even in school at all! :( Miss those days. If any of you do intend to visit, i am sorry i wont be able to bring you guys around! Well, unless of course you can wait until after 5 pm or the weekends. Hate the school.

For your information foreign students studying in Orchard School must not miss class for more than 3 consecutive days and overall attendance must be > 90%. Otherwise a police report will be lodged and the student will be repatriated.
