Table Mountain

The most important thing to check and re-check before making your way to the Table Mountain, is the wind condition up on the mountain (a plateau really). In heavy wind condition, the cable car does not run and you will be sorely disappointed (as we were), if you were not mentally prepared for a hike up. Do not be deceived by the fine weather at sea level, because it appears that the Table Mountain has her own climate system up above.

Not checking the condition beforehand, we arrived at the Table Mountain and found out the only way up was on foot.

But all is not lost, because there is still a gorgeous view to enjoy on the way up!

 

 

And so, clad inappropriately for a cardio intensive hike, we made it only to the base of the Table Mountain before we had to turn back down.
