Barbie World

Somewhere on the map of Shanghai, you might want to look out for road names like Chang Le Lu, Ju Lu Lu and Xin Le Lu. These are found in the french concession area of Shanghai, and are frequented by the fabulously fashionable fashionistas (such a mouthful) of Shanghai.

Boutiques in the area are housed in terrace houses with long sprawling driveways. How cool is that. I walked into one, and there was even a bird house in the garden. The shanghainese have certainly brought the shopping experience to a whole new level.

Oh this really fascinating place along Huai Hai Lu i must tell you. BARBIE World. 6 levels of everything Barbie. Little barbie bags, barbie combs, barbie bottles blah blah and even a matching outfit for you and your little Barbie.

In Barbie world, barbie is more than a girl's plaything. Not when a doll is tagged with a 4-digit figure, its an investment.
