Salt Restaurant

According to jas's research, Salt Restaurant is supposedly the best new restaurant in town. It was a real pity we didnt manage to catch it while she was here. We actually made reservations, but couldnt find the place!

So when bei yi was here in january, i knew i had to take her there for dinner (for obvious reasons), on the pretext of a post-birthday celebration. Lucky thing i did! It was not exactly a "best best standard", but it was really nice to have something different from the usual 盖饭.

With a place like that, its hard not to like it!

Salt

The food served at Salt is not exactly cheap (we are talking in terms of RMB). A standard set dinner, cost 179RMB/ 199RMB depending on whether you are having desserts. Its expensive, well if you compare it to 盖饭 which costs only 7RMB.

I hate blogging about food, simply coz i just eat whatever thats on my plate without taking a moment off deciding whether the meat is succulent or not. So i am just throwing you the photos and you be the judge if its worth the 199RMB.

The Main
Dessert
Remember its a post-birthday celebration? I had the waitress stick a candle in before bringing out the hot fudge chocolate cake. And bei yi destroyed the moment by saying "lady, you got the wrong table." *fainted.

Happy Birthday, muacks :)
