Soho

Like the other SoHo that we are familiar with, beijing's soho (to be pronounced in a very sing song manner) is a melting pot of good food and trendy fashion, the IT place to be seen at. The crowd soho attracts is of a different breed. You have the stylish 21st century china bunch on one hand and then you have the neatly pressed expatriate crowd on the other. It is an elite community that me and chiao are trying to break into. And we are still trying.

When in soho, you would find that you are no longer in beijing. You have left that dirty old road, and on to some place faraway. Soho is a burst of many tasteful restaurants, great chill out cafes and a very exclusive boutique shopping experience (of course with very exorbitant prices). There is one particular restaurant that me and chiao always go back to for its delightful breakfast menu (yes they serve it all day), cozy ambiance and all in at a very affordable price! That deserves another separate post on its own (coming up soon)!

Soho is best visited at night, and you will see why!

Soho by evening

And then a carousel pops out
By nightfall

3 levels and a building on its own!
